I’m always on the lookout for new recipes. and does this one hit all the boxes! we devoured this. I marinate it for a few hours before cooking, and it really helps elevate the flavors. will definitely be making this again!

Hi Diane! You can purchase canned/jarred sour orange juice in the latin area of the grocery store, but if you can’t find that, of course bottled orange juice will work. Fresh orange juice is less sweet and a little more tart, so it is recommend, but it will still be tasty using processed orange juice. Congrats on remission! Hope you enjoy this Pollo Asado! 🙂

Then I got to the ingredients descriptions where you said to not use bottled orange juice. I am taking large doses of a chemotherapy maintenance drug. There are strict instructions to avoid all grapefruit and sour oranges and their juices. Any alternative to sour orange juice? I’m so sad. I’m on these meds for life, so won’t be making Pollo Asado ever again.
